Conceptual site analysis
Evaluating our site through the eyes of a surgeon.
borrowing from the medical practices to inform the practice of architecture should yield some very interesting new perspectives on making, altering, improving, etc. Is the arrow from the island's center "high-point" to the beach front analogous to a liposuction/fat injection on site?
Yes, it is an element that is geographically/culturally important to the native people. I wanted to express that connection in terms of a surgical injection into our site. An interesting fact is that the volcano can been seen from all parts of the island. I definitely want to highlight that view and connect to that direction.

ReplyDelete...or even symbolically bring those elements into the site.
